PCI DSS and call recording

The PCI DSS directive applies if your business or organisation takes card payments by phone and records its calls.

PCI DSS is a set of rules governing the security of  credit card payments. They have been implemented to protect your customers by keeping their card details safe. Ignoring PCI DSS puts your business or organisation at risk of financial penalties and reputational damage.

If you take card payments and record your telephone calls (or want to start recording your calls), Veritape can help your business or organisation to become PCI DSS compliant. Being PCI DSS compliant avoids possible fines or loss of income and reputational damage. For more about PCI DSS, follow this link.

In response to the demands of the PCI DSS directive, we have developed CallGuard. Already used by many of our customers, CallGuard guarantees full PCI DSS compliance and ensures that your call recordings do not store sensitive payment card data.  It can also prevent your agents from seeing any card data on screen and hence eliminate the potential for card data theft. CallGuard is universally compatible and works with any call recording system. For more information about CallGuard and PCI DSS click here.

Veritape is the only call recording company accredited by the PCI SSC as a Participating Organisation

Veritape is the only call recording company accredited as a PCI DSS Participating Organisation. We regularly give direct feedback on our customers’ PCI compliance challenges and insights to the Council.
